After receiving his doctor of dental medicine degree at Fairleigh Dickenson University in 1978, Dr. Norman Huefner completed a hospital dentistry and general practice residency at UCLA Medical Center. He has continued his passion for dentistry through the prestigious postgraduate institution, the Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies.

As author of Portrait Photography Basics for Cosmetic Dentists, Dr. Huefner shares his love of the transformation aesthetic dentistry achieves for patients. In addition, Dr. Huefner is the official cosmetic dentist for Mrs. Globe Pageant, and he has been profiled in magazines for his notable achievements in cosmetic dentistry. He was a gold medallist in 2006 for the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry’s Portrait Gallery. The Journal of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry featured his Tracy Kemble makeover on the magazine’s cover in winter of 2006.

To share his expertise and gift for dental artistry with the community, Dr. Huefner founded SMILE, a national charity program for teeth whitening for the Women in Need Foundation’s abuse and recovery programs. He also founded the Mrs. Globe Pageant smile makeover program. Dr. Huefner has judged the Mrs. California, Mrs. US, and Mrs. Globe pageants. Many of his patients have won beauty pageants and continued on to celebrity status.

An important member of the dental professional community, Dr. Huefner holds membership in the Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry and the Academy of Comprehensive Esthetics. His lectures, speaking engagements, and articles provide a forum for him to share his knowledge, passion, and expertise with audiences across the nation.
